- How to Lift A Work Ban
If you have the misfortune of receiving a work ban in the UAE – also known as “visa ban” or “labour ban” – there are ways to legally lift the ban prior to expiration of the 6-month or 1-year penalty period:
I. In cases where an employee leaves their sponsor’s company before expiration of their contract term, the Ministry of Labour automatically imposes a ban when the employee leaves. In order to lift the ban, the employee must request their last sponsor to issue a No Objection Certificate, or NOC. A request for transfer of sponsorship to a new sponsor, if necessary, should be made to the Ministry of Labour within 1 month of the cancellation of sponsorship, along with the NOC and the requisite fee of AED 200.
II. In cases where the employer has violated the terms of the employment contract, the Ministry of Labor may lift the work ban without an NOC. The Labour Court must rule in favor of the employee finding that he or she was legally entitled to terminate the contract early or outside of the statutory notice period.
It is important to note that Free Zones have their own set of employment regulations and procedures, in addition to the applicable federal laws and regulations, so it is essential to seek competent legal advice tailored to your unique situation.

i am nurse in a newly opened aesthetic clinic and they offer to me 4000 salary for that… i’ve signed a job offer last feb 2014 and i started working last april 2014, since it just newly open we don’t still have any client.. now i am not satisfy on what they do to us.. they just gave our salary last month for the month of May only, and they provoking us saying “if don’t like here go and resign” .. i am a registered nurse and DHA license nurse.. i didnt expect all the duties they asks to us and it is not in our job description as a nurse, they told us to do the marketing for their company to get a clients, we are not marketing specialist. i am planning to resign but im still new here i want to apply to other companies like hospitals which can provides us a good benefits.. but i dont want to have a ban in uae, what would be your suggestions? thank you

I want to cancel my renewed labor card. I have done my 02 years limited contract on July 08 2014 as Bachelor here in Dubai. They renew my labor card as per our agreement. Now i have offer in Abu dhabi far more higher salary than my current employer. What will happen if i will resign on my current job and file a cancellation of my renewed labor card to MOL.
I left UAE in 2009 without cancelling my visa..dont know my bank put me an absconder..? I was working in standard chartered bank as Relationship Officer Mortgage..the Bank terminated my job as well many others..due to 20K loan I left dubai without cancelling my visa..but I sent my job card to my bank before left UAE..how can I know my recent status abt ban..?

I have one year ban from the immigration on request of my old company in dubai, but i have resident visa in oman i am living and working here… my ban will finish at may 2015 so can i enter again and have resident visa? thank u so much

I am in serious trouble to understand by banned status in uae.
I have unpaid credit card of fgb bank which unpaid from last one year, as i got new job in saudi arabia but i have exited uae visa and came in ksa with new visa. But due to office meeting i need to go uae.. I am not sure whether i am banned in uae or not . Even now i can clear all outstanding amt.

I was working in a company in abudhabi. I signed a limited contract with the company. i resigned from the company on 02-November-2014 because of some personal issues. Now my problems are solved and got a job another company. my previous company had implied one year work ban on me. Is it possible for me to take on my new job?

i join in sharjah of the company. one month was finish, yesterday only i did a medical. whatever they says they not provided and i don’t have any proof for that. my mind a total upset to work here. so i rejoin the job they told me it automatically ban for 1 year. than i told no need to cancel.but my mind is not set to work here. would you please explain me any chance to get relive without ban here. here i ask for NOC, there are asking there is no more NOC in UAE. Would you please guide a how to solve this. if 6 month ban means i accepted. but one year two long. if they but one year ban can i come for visit visa here or i can join freezone company. if any possible is there to remove UAE labour ban.

Hi, I have just got offer letter from a government organisation. It says as per article 127 i will not be permitted to work for any travel agency in uae for a period of 12 months from the date of termination of contract by either party.
Can u please explain, Iam concerned as the salary offered is not satisfactory.

I worked in Ahalia hospital since feb 15, 2015 to june10 2015.I got terminated from Ahalia hospital without any reason. is there any ban in my record. Can i work in other hospital without break. Please clarify my doubts and what should i do next? I cancelled my visa also.

I have completed my two year contract on Dec 2015, and i went for medical for the current employer. I asked my company to give me the new labour contract but they said they have renewed by labour card only. In Jan 2016 I got a offer from a company in abudhabi free zone but my current employer is not releving me. Kindly advice what can I do

I just want to ask if i can still file an appeal after they cancelled my absconding application due to lack of passport.. after a week i took my passport from previous sponsor using Dubai Court ruling. They kept my passport for almost 6 years. Company is closed already since 2010. I signed cancellation paper before that company closes. Please can you help me and tell me if i can file a case this my company thanks and hope to hear from you soon.
I have come to know that i am imposed one year ban. why? I was terminated from previous employer because of unsuccessful probation period. they gave me termination letter and one month notice period for another job.
